VSN Olympics - Day 1

I decided I was going to showcase some of the cards I made for this weekend's VSN. The theme was the Olympics, which was a great start to the whole weekend of challenges. This card was made for the snow blind challenge. The idea was to use mainly white with just a hint of color and all embellishments needed to be white also. I pulled out my cuttlebug for a background and my glideabella stamp for my image. I also added a tafetta buttony bow and some prima flowers with dew drop centers. It was a challenge to me to create mainly white, but I think I pulled it off ok...

What do you think?

Thanks so much for stopping by!! Stay tuned for tomorrows event...

This is a card I made for the bombshell stamps sketch challenge for February. I changed up a couple elements on it, but am really happy with how it turned out. I used some double sided DP I got from my secret sis this month and I am so pleased with it! So just a quick one this Saturday... Please let me know what you think!

Tangled Tinsel

This is the card I made for the Christmas Card challenge. I had to finish 4 more for my cards this month and I managed to get them all done! Yea!! This is a freckle face boy I got from paperworksco.com and I think he is too cute! Te saying says Don't get your tinsel in a tangle. I colored him with copics and added red hair in honor of my nephew Russell who is the cutest redhead I know!

Thanks for popping in and have a great weekend!

If you have a spare minute I would love to know what you think...

Thanks for your hard work!

I made these 2 cards for our biomedical technicians at work. We moved our work from a 5000 sq ft building to a brand new 8800 sq ft building. Sadly it isn't too close to being functional for everyoen and these guys have been working so hard to get everyone up and running. We all pitched in and gave Ken and Jeff each a bottle of Jack Daniels and I made the cards to go with the token of appreciation. They were both quite surprised by the gesture and very appreciative. We certainly would be a lot further behind if it weren't for them! Ken came to me the following day and was very impressed with his card and said he heard I made it and wanted to let me know how impressed he was, so that made me feel pretty good!

Anyways, thanks so much for stopping by. I am getting off track this week with posting but will have a couple more before Sunday!

As always, I would love to know what you think!

Bombshell Stamps February blog hop!!!!

I decided to participate in the Bombshell stamps February blog hop challenge this month. I just love my bombshell stamps and have so much fun using them to make cards and projects! I definitely need more than the 2 sets I have... lol! I made this card with my SU cardstock and punches. Inside the card says "Have a Bang on your Birthday" with the bang used from the circle in the window you can see. I was pretty pleased with the way it turned out. I finished off the fringe and straps with some stickles and a prima brad completes the project. Here was the challenge description for the card:

Mama Said Knock You Out!

No physical violence here, just time to dust off your PUNCHES and use your NESTIES (QuicKutz, Sizzix, Big Shot etc.) to create your next Bombshell Masterpiece! We all have some fun punches and cutting shapes lying around, so why not use these valuable items and get our money's worth? All you have to do, is make sure something on your card has been punched or die cut....extra credit if there's a hole in your card. *giggle Don't make Mama mad....just start knockin' things out. *wink

Here is a list of all the blog hop participants so please keep going and check out all their creations!

Happy Birthday Kaleb

DS has a party to go to this weekend and so I made up a super quick card for him. I find for the kids I want them to be cute but not as involved. Little kids don't appreciate the work that some cards take to create, so I have taken to no longer going all out on the ones for the kids classmates. This one I used booglie eyes and smarty pants stamp sets from SU! along with my new border punch from sale a bration. It is the first time I have used it and am happy with how it turned out! So this one i headed off on Saturday..

Just a quick post today, but wanted to get something on. I love your feedback so please take a minute and post your thoughts! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Well, I feel like I have not posted in forever but I know it has not been that long. This is a card I made this weekend for my February Christmas cards challenge. I now have 7 done for Feb as I made 6 of these ones. 3 to go! :) I used my Santa Baby stamp set from MFT and my SU! card stock for the base. I pieced the lady's dress with some scraps so they are all a bit different, but I thought they turned out pretty cute! I colored with my copics and added some liquid applique for Santa's beard and trim. I completed it with some tafetta ribbon and a button.

This past weekend was pretty crazy for me. I had to fit in dodgeball, a hockey game, 4 hrs of OT at work both Sat and Sun, floor hockey and also worked a bingo. Whew! I was exhausted! But now I am back on track and caught up with everything.

Thanks so much for stopping and I would love to know what you think! ;)

Love Me Do Stamping Bella Blog Hop!!

Welcome to the LOVE ME DO Blog Hop sponsored by Stamping Bella! If you've just happened upon my blog, you can CLICK HERE to start from the beginning at Bloggabella.

I made this card with a stamp from the tiddly inks line. I think she is so adorable!! I am pretty upset though because my daughter helped herself to my extra camera batteries without telling me and I had to scan my card. The scanner doesn't pick up my light pink copic marker for somer reason so it never looks quite completed. I did love this project end result though!! I used tafetta ribbon, white with a pink extra knot. The brads are actually light pink rhinestone brads and the pants, shirt and bow are all the light pink. It looks so much better IRL...

How about a prize? In addition to the fabulous eye candy, we have decided to hide a prize somewhere along the hop! One pre-selected blogger will draw a random winner from the comments on her post, and the winner will receive a $25 Gift Voucher to Stamping Bella!!! The fun part is...we're not telling you who it is! So as you hop, make sure you leave comments on every post so you have a chance to win!! We will announce the winner on Friday in the Splitcoast forum. MWAH!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Now it's time to hop on over to Tricia's blog and see what fun she has to show off!!

Happy Valentines Day!

Oh, I am so tired! We are in the process of moving at work and I am just exhausted with the packing and everything. I will be so happy when it is over!!

I had a Valentine class last night and this is the card we made for the class. We also made a book of chocolate and a nugget box. I didn't do too much stamping on this but I am very happy with how it turned out! And I am loving my heart punch!

Just a quick post because I have another long day tomorrow and this weekend I am also working overt time. I am participating in the Stamping Bella love blog hop on Saturday also, so make sure you come by and check out everyones creations! :)

Well, as this posts I am in Edmonton celebrating my baby girl's 18th Birthday! I can't believe how fast time flies! As for my card, it is this week's sketch challenge over on splitcoast stampers. It is SC266. I colored my bella with copics and I added some taffeta ribbon.I really am not happy with the way my scanner scans my pictures but I wanted to get a post in place before I left for Edmonton. I will be back Monday with some more posts! Have a great weekend and see you soon!

This is a card I made with a sketch challenge posted a couple of weeks ago on splitcoast stampers. I got a new set from SU! from the occasions mini. I believe it is called Holy Family or something close to that. I used some DP from SU! and also the cardstock and inks are also. I sponged around the edges of the card base with close to cocoa. I tore and distressed the edges of the layers and then stamped my image in chocolate chip on the close to cocoa paper. I added stickles to the halo around baby Jesus for an added effect and also included a prima flower to finish it off.I like how it turned out and think I will make these also for my Feb Christmas card challenge. One down, four or 5 to go! That way I will also make a few other ones.

Thanks for coming by and as always I love hearing what you think!

Bombshell ATC swap

This is an ATC I made for a Bombshell Stamps ATCswap I joined over on the Bombshell Stamps forum. I used one of the smaller images from my set and made the flowers with my SU! flower punch. I sponged the edges of the flowers with the matching ink and distressed the petals just a touch. I also added a strip of tafetta ribbon around the edge. I colored with my matching In Color markers from SU! to match my SU! papers I used.

As always, thanks so much for stopping by and I would love to know what you think!
