Halloween fun for my class and some blog candy!!

Happy Sunday! I have been taking it easy today but I am going to head to the gym shortly. I did do the 3d challenge in the demo forum on scs which I will post tomorrow but today I am posting the samples for my Halloween class this month. I am doing 3 tombstone boxes, 3 treat topper and bags and 3 cards. These are the general idea but I am waiting on an SU Order and will have these a bit more embellished and another Halloween set... I think they turned out pretty cute! I got the templates here courtesy of Mel...


Now for the candy part... I am closing in on 100 visits, so I an going to be offering up an unmounted SU set from last years saleabration. I will post a pic of it tomorrow along with my business card holder and cards... All you need to do is leave me a comment! I will choose from the posted comments on the next 3 blog posts including todays. I'd love to hear your feedback on the class projects or id you have another idea that you use for Halloween!

Sorry I've been slacking...

Good evening! I have been slow on posting, sorry! I had my first stamp club of the year last night. I have 3 new people so I decided to start simple, as 2 of them are brand new stampers. So my first ones I did were these...

The color is pretty dark, unfortunately. The pink one was inspired when my DD told me she has a birthday party this Friday. The second one is in lieu of the fact that I have no current Thanksgiving sets so I create a card with pumpkins inspired by layering 3 of my oval punches. I thought it turned out pretty good, but I definitely need to invest in a new stamp set! :)

The last card I did is one we all made. I used 3 of the new in colors, my Lovely as a Tree set and Elegant Cheer. I used the rock and roll technique with Pink Pirouette rolled in Baja Breeze. I think it turned out very nice since there were no real extras on it! So what do you think???

So I watched Beowulf tonight with my boys and it was pretty good, considering it was an animated film. Pretty impressive! Now it is about 10 and I have to be up early enough to make some lunches and be to work by 7:30 so I am going to go read a little bit before bed. I am getting back on track and tomorrow I am going to work on the Monday sketch for Stamping Bella on SCS and check out the new release party for the GinaK forum tomorrow evening. Maybe I will find some of you there tomorrow! Good Night!

Blogger color challenge

OK, so I was blog creeping and I found a great color combo on Gina's blog. The color challenge was pacific point, pink pirouette and elegant eggplant. I liked a couple of the in colors this year right away, but I am loving pretty much all of them!This is the card I came up with. I am not too sure about the corners, but I was trying to switch up my usual style... :)

I am also so happy that SU! brought the mini library clips into the new catty! I just love them! They are just so fun to use! Anyways, check out Gina's challenge if you want to play along also! The colors are a little dark, but I wanted to get it posted while I had a chance...

A Wednesday Sketch Challenge and an empty house

Well first things first -Here is a sketch challenge I made for todays SCS challenge SC194. I used Bella Rose DP, Choc chip card base, Red Riding Hood and Pink Pirouette CS and the stamp set Embrace Life. I have an open house and a SAS class this weekend and I should really get more prepared for them, but I have been having a rough week..

On top of feeling not too great the past couple of days, my baby of my 5 children started preschool today. I am just not sure how I feel about all of that! It makes me want another one I think! Sadly it is no longer an option... :) And in a second breath I am not so sure I want to go back to diapers and bottles!

Stamping and Blogging...

Happy Monday!

I am just going to start getting into this blogging thing so I hope I am beginning on the right foot! I am hoping to use my blog to show cards and projects I have created and hope that I can inspire you to create your own cards and projects!

The first card I am going to post is my color challenge card from last Tuesday on SCS (www.splitcoaststampers.com). The challenge was to use monochramatic colors. I went with pink and used the new SU bella rose paper, pink pirouette cs & regal rose cs. I used the set watercolor minis which is retired now, but still one of my favorites! I used pink pirouette and regal rose ink and black stazon. I also used some prima flowers. I incorporated the faux stitching and was pretty pleased with the end results!
