Finishing up some SS challenges

I am finishing the last of my SS challenges for my Sassy Stampers blogging sisters group. This challenge was to create a card showcasing something you love to do. I LOVE to read! Most everything! I especially love when Coles or CHapters has their 4 for $10 clearances, because I stock up on a few books. Sadly the best ones I can get through in a day or two so I go through a lot of books... Oh well.

So this is my card to show off my love of reading. I wanted to put something on it a little different, so instead of a flower or something I created a mini book to use on the bottom corner, and I am really pleased with how it turned out! I also added a couple of sparkle gems onto the side just to add a little something extra. I am pretty happy with how it turned out!!

Where does the time go???

I can't believe my baby girl is 9!!! I feel so old!

I made this card for her birthday yesterday using the same sketch from the bella sketch challenge below. I loved that sketch and I think this card turned out even better than the 1st one, so I was pleased with it.

We had some friends of Madi's over in the afternoon for her party and then in the evening we had family over for a BBQ and some fun. All said I think the day was a success and now my girl is off to her friends cottage for a few days. I have a ball tournament today so we will be busy with that and then it is back to work tomorrow.

Oh, I am so happy Jamie is posting sketch challenges again!! I missed her! I may have missed her posting a sketch the past month or two, but I found her again now! :) I used an image I got from my bella sistah Martha. I love her!! I think I will have to put her on my order! A twisted challenge...

I made this for the Bella Twisted challenge 7. The challenge was to create a card with some bling on it. I used some rhinestone brads, lumiere on her wings, stickles on her wand, skirt and shoe laces and sprayed the whole thing with glimmer mist. I feel like I have not done much but then I was gone a week, but I am a bit disappointed in this card because I felt like I could do much better. Anyways, I am off to bed. I am working on some things for Madi's party bags for Saturday so I will be posting up some of those things shortly! :)

Stamping Bella Summah!

This is a card I made that was supposed to show a summer theme. Ice cream always screams summah to me! I used this stamping bella for my card. I really don't like how the background turned out though and am not thrilled with this card in the end. I used stickles on her head band and 2 purple brads to match her ice cream on the side.

I will be gone this week so I may post something tomorrow but then I am gone till the 20th. I will be back with some new things then!! Anyways, thanks for popping by and let me know what you think!

Sassy Stampers SS Challenge

The challenge was to create a card using a technique new to you. I tried a faux suede, I soaked my piece of CS and then pulled apart so I had the inside left. I lightly sponged it with the matching ink and then distressed the edges of the cardstock on the paper and the image... I finished it off with 2 small brass brads.

Secret Sisters, Challenges and fun!

I feel like I have been AWOl from my blog forever but it was just over a week. I have a few things to post for you this week, though. The first is an item I created for my Sassy Stampers blog secret sister challenge to alter an item. I found these great oversize clothes clips the other day and knew I wanted to alter one right away! I love how it turned out and will have to go back and stock up on these. I think they would make great gifts also.

My DD is here this month to visit and I am hoping she wants to stamp with me maybe today! I miss having her here to create with me...
