Ketto Friend

I finally got myself some new bellas when the free shipping sale was on and I am so excited! I saw this little Wasabi Ketto stamp and knew I had to have her! I wanted some cute stamps to use with my symbols of solicitude stamp set from SU! and she is perfect! I also inked her up for the Bella Twisted challenge from last week in the Stamping Bella forum on Split Coast Stampers. The challenge was to create any kind of card with your Bellas and then make the inside correspond to the outside. That is why I am poting a picture of both the inside and outside.

I cheated but still wanted to share...

The first card I cheated on. I got a scrap kit from creative memories that was Cars themed. I used the CS for it, but I used stickers to finish it off. I still had fun making it and I just need to finish 1 card for the birthday book I made my brother... I think he will be glad I made it. It will at least keep him organized for 1 year of family birthdays...

The second is also a card for the birthday book. I used my rockstar Anya and some home made dew drops to finish her off. Well, I am going to head off to my stamp table to enjoy some of my day off!

Happy National BBQ Month!

The challenge for limited supplies challenge was to create a card symbolic of one of the special occasions May holds. I guess it is National BBQ month and I had gotten this great fella from the wish RAK forum on SCS. I had to use him for sure! I made the card masculine as I think most people associate men and BBQ-ing... Me, I still do it all.. sigh!! Oh well. Hope you enjoy this griller and let me know what you think!!!

Twisted Bella Challenge (TBC2)

The twisted bella challenges began last week and I am hoping to get a chance to do the first one also. This weeks challenge was to alter one of the BSC sketches (BSC24 was used so I followed suit) and also use some paper piecing on your card. This cute lil card is what I came up with and figure I will give this one to one of my sisters for Mother's Day...

Mother of all Swaps - a few teasers...

Well, I decided to post some teasers for my Mother's Day swap that went postal. My receiver isn't a huge scrapper or stamper but loves home made items and stuff. I made the card which I used the idea from a technique challenge from a few weeks ago. It is a pocket card that the flower part pulls out. I also made an altered photo frame focussing on family. The final photo item is a journal I made as she will be taking a trip and I wanted to include something for her to record her memories. Also included in the package was a couple of chocolate bath salts that looked like confections, a scented sachet, a bath loofah, a delicious grape scented candle and a set of any time cards I made. I think she will like it! I would!! :)

I coordinated all the things with purple, pink and bashful blue and tied together with flock together DP from SU.
