Take care of you...

This is a card I made upon request of my boyfriend. He has a co-worker/friend who already battled cancer once and found out recently that it is back full force. Tonight is a fundraiser they are having for him, so my boyfriend wanted the card to give him. He asked for a saying and I thought this is a perfect sentiment to go on the card. They haven't much hope left for him. I thought this best summed up how to live - regardless of how much living anyone has left to do. I hope it is appropriate. I thought it seemed good.

Jen's personalized cards...

These are the cards I am adding along with the journal and candle for Jen. I hope she likes them! She is a teacher and I think they could come in handy in a pinch... 3 sleeps till I leave! The kids are not worrying quite yet... I am not sure if I hope they do or don't! lol...

Thanks for popping in and see you soon! Let me know what you think before you leave...

Thanks for the hospitality!!!!!

I am so excited!! I am headed out of town for a few days on Thursday to go visit my best friend from elementary school and my other best friend from high school!! We will all be spending the weekend together. I am staying at Jens a couple nights and Heathers a night too.

So I am hoping to go to a few craft shops like we don't have here and hopefully the 3 of us will hit the town on Saturday night. I am taking Jen for supper to thank her for her hospitality but I also wanted to make both of them a little gift as well. I am making a set of personalized cards along with this journal and a candle. My sister sells Gold Canyon candles which I love so they are both going to get a scent! :) I am shopping through her supply tomorrow when I head there for my god daughters baptism tomorrow. Anyways, I want to make an address book for Heather and a little book to keep her lists in along with her candle. I am really looking forward to going and I am hoping to to post the finished sets before I leave!

I am also using this as one example of my blogging group challenge which was to use a sentiment as the main image on a card - I just used it on the journal instead of the card.

Tis the season...

Not really... It was 30 here today. I am loving the weather but wish we had more nice weather in the actual summer months... Oh well. I did have a class tonight for holiday cards. Here are 2 of the cards I made for it. I am loving having the classes starting in summer because it works awesome for me to get my holiday cards done on well in advance!

Unity Bachelor Challenge

I love how this card turned out. I got this set a while ago and had not used it yet. It is a bit unorthodox as the idea was to create a card to invite the one you love out on date night. Well, my relationship is never on track and seems like it hadn't been on track for a LONG time. Inside the card says "we should work on it..." I think if we took time once in a while to concentrate on us instead of always focussing on the kids and their activities then it would do us a ton of good. Anyways, that is why I chose to make the card I did. We are on the same page that we have problems, so maybe if we start to focus on some solutions as well we can find some happiness together again.

Thanks so much for stopping by and let me know what you think!

Happy Retirement Al!!

My boss retired on Sept 9 this year and I wanted to make his wife a little present to keep him busy while she still has to go to work everyday... lol! I was at my friend Melinda's and she had this great stamp set from CTMH. I immediately thought this would make an awesome little gift to give her!! So she is coming by tomorrow and picking it up as she a works in the same building I do. I think she will get kick out of it! I made sure to put some magnets on the back so Al's list doesn't get lost...

Bella Back to School Bash!!!

These are the 2 cards I made for the stamping bella birthday bash on Splitcoast Stampers. The first challenge was to use a shape and stick to it throughout your card. As you can see, I chose ovals. The second challenge was to use whatever new items you had, so I a pad of new DP, a pkg of new brads that looked like screws and a fella image I got from the wish RAK forum. You still have until 8 PM to create a card and play over in the stamping bella forums!!
As always thanks for popping by and let me know what you think!

Forever Jacob.....sigh!!

Well I have been busy working on my swaps for the twilight swap I am in. This is for the jewellry spot I got. I cased this off of someone on Splitcoast Stampers (I am not sure who it is though!) They used the little T's from Gina K. I don't have that set but I did create my own template and traced it onto my shrink paper. I think they turned out darling and I chose Jacob because I think Edward was a bit of a jerk in New Moon... Sorry Edward fans!!! I do admit I get tossed between the two through the books... Anyways, let me know what you think!!
