Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year everyone! I am behind on my posts so my New Years Resolution is to post at least 2 times per week! I have figured out how to schedule, so I should be able to do it! This is one of my last holiday cards I made. I love this little girl from Stamping Bella! I also love the colors and was happy with how she turned out. I used glitter on the snowman and snowballs. I used my favorite ribbon, taffeta and some paper I got from Creative Memories I believe. The saying comes from a set I got from a secret sister last year! Thanks so much for popping by!

As always, I would love to know what you think, and everyone have a safe and happy celebration tonight!

Holiday gifts...

I have been busy making things for Christmas gifts and trying to get organized for the holidays. Luckily for me our blogger challenge was to make something for a holiday gift. I made several of these washer necklaces, which was the technique challenge a couple of weeks back as well, and they are being donated to the kids' school for their Christmas store. It is new or gently used items you donate for the kids to go holiday shopping for their families. All of the money raised from the sale goes to support our local neonatal annual radio fundraiser to improve our local neonatal mother baby ward. These ones were done with Ranger inks and UTEE, but I also created some holiday ones with patterned paper and dew drops. I have them all packaged to go and they don't photograph well inside their bags... I am sure I will be making more however, and will make sure I take a picture to share with you! Today 9 are being shipped to the school.

Thanks for popping in and as always I love knowing what you think!

This is one of the cutest gift card holders I have made so far!! I just love how it turned out... It is the try a new technique challenge this week over on Splitcoast Stampers. There is also a video tutorial that can be found on creator Carolina's blog. I actually found it pretty easy to make and the directions are very easy to follow.

Thanks for stopping in and let me know what you think!

Happy Birthday Blake

This was another stamp I got from Dee, I think I forgot to actually say who you were in my last post! Sorry Dee! So I found this little boy Magnolia in the images also so decided to do a similar card for DS's friend as well. I was pretty happy with how both cards turned out and am excited to share them both with you! Scroll down to see yesterdays if you missed it. I know they aren't overly done but I really seem to go for quick and simple. I need this becasue of the limited time I get to stamp since we have activities and the 4 kids at home keep me running. If I don't keep most things simple I would never be able to complete anything! :) Well this guy is also stickled on his wings. I added a couple brads to keep it boyish and the blues and browns make it look perfect for a boy's birthday!

Thanks for coming by today and I would love to know what you think!

Happy Birthday Brooks!

Two of the kids had birthday parties this weekend so Saturday morning I made a couple of Birthday cards for them to give with their gifts. I got a bunch of images from a new stamp friend I have through my friend Mel and splitcoaststampers. Mel knew her from where she used to live and I have been ordering Close To My Heart items through her... Anyways, last month for my birthday she included several images she stamped for me and Mel and among them was this darling Magnolia image. I don't have any of these stamps so I was excited to have some images to play with I decided to use one for this birthday card I made for DDs friend. I colored her with copics and added some stickles to her wings. I added some primas and some white taffeta and just love how cute she turned out!

Thanks for stopping in and let me know what you think!

Christmas creations for the kids.......

These are some mini sets I made for the kids to give their classes this year. I had seen on Splitcoaststampers where someone had made snowflakes with their big shot and added some things for the kids to decorate. I loved them but didn't have the die. I was out shopping and found these kits of foam trees with all the trimmings. They are stickers, but I punched holes in the trees and added some pipe cleaner for hanging and made some simple toppers on them. I was happy with them and the kids are excited to give them to their classes. In total we will have about 65 to hand out and I bought 2 sets so they were under $14 for all of them. I worked my way through my scraps for the toppers so they are sme non conventional colors (like the pink) but they are great!

Happy Birthday Stamping Bella Blog Hop!!!

Welcome to the Bella Birthday Bash Blop Hop sponsored by Stamping Bella! If you came here from Joy's blog you are on the right track! If you've just happened upon my blog, you can CLICK HERE to start from the beginning at Bloggabella.

For my card today I used one of my newer stamps, Noah the Computer Guy. I just love him and he reminds me of my 2 boys! They LOVE the computer and sometimes it is a fight to get on one here! :) I also used this weeks sketch challenge, SC257 for a starting point. I got the DP from my local scrapbook store. Sadly, today was her last day as apparently although I enjoy spending my paycheck there, not everyone else does! Lol... Just kidding. II am very sad that she closed her doors, though. I also used not quite navy, sahara sand,, chocolate chip and bashful blue. I used a couple of small brads on the points and wrapped some red hemp twine around the whole thing to finish it off. I hope you can get the jist of how he looks. My scanner doesn't seem to want to pick up the lightest colors, but definitely points out that I REALLY need to work on my copic use! Oh well, I still enjoy my creating! I hope you do too... Now on to the rest of the details...

Three gift certificates for $100 in Bella Bucks will be hidden along the hop, but we’re not telling you where so be sure to leave some love as you hop!!! Make sure you leave comments on every post so you have a chance to win!! The winners will be announced on Monday, December 7 at the Stamping Bella Blog. MWAH!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Now it's time to hop on over to see what Angela has for you on her blog.

As always, thanks so much for stopping by and I would love to know what you think! Enjoy your hopping!

Sweetest Stocking GC Holder

I made this card for last weeks try a new technique challenge on splitcoaststampers.com. The pattern is provided and the stocking top flips up to show a pocket to insert the gift card. I saw this a while ago and really wanted to try it, but didn't get a chance. Now that it was a challenge I thought it was a sign I needed to make one. I think I will be making a few more for my gift giving.

Thanks so much for popping in and as always let me know what you think!

This is a sweet card I made for the Stamping bella twisted challenge 11 (BTC11) in the Stamping Bella forum over on Splitcoaststampers.com. The challenge was to make a holiday card NOT using red or green. I think I managed it! I love this image and I used liquid applique on her ruffles. The snowballs and snowman were coated with glitter. This card looks so much better IRL. My scanner doesn't seem to want to perform the way I would like it to... :(

As always, thanks so much for stopping by and I would love to know what you think!

Thanks!

Merry Christmas kids...

I just LOVE this stamp! It is a new one from Stamping Bella and it went into my cart as soon as I saw it... I know this one is a super simple card but really I fell in love with the image and was proud of myself how the coloring turned out. I really didn't want to take a lot away from the image. I am still experimenting with my copics and trying to figure out how to use them properly. I know I certainly don't give them the credit they deserve, but I am trying! :)

Anyways, I wanted to get in a quick post tonight. I am not sure I will be able to post again until either Sunday or next week after Grey Cup, so I wanted to get one more in before then. As always, thanks so much for stopping by and let me know what you think!

I found some awesome paper today to go with my new Stamping Bella stamps! I was into the local Scrap store and fell in love with this paper. Carter has a birthday party Friday to go to so I was glad I had some inspiration and happy with how it turned out! You can't really see well but it does say Happy Birthday in Green inside the banner this little robot is holding. I am really happy with how this card turned out!

Anyways, just a quick post and getting my kids to bed. If all goes well I may be able to make another card tonight if I am lucky! As always, thanks for popping in and let me know what you think!

Warm Winter Birthday Wishes....

I finally got a chance to make a card for my DIVA sisters challenge I posted a couple weeks ago. It was to make a winter themed birthday card. I love this penguin and had made a card with this set about a month ago but posted it already and just forgot how fun it is! Also my LSS is having a 25% off everything sale as I think they will be closing this month. We don't really have any good stores here and I am very sad to see it go. I hope business picks up and they decide to stay open! Anyways, I did pick up a few goodies for my Christmas Angel SS swap and also some goodies for myself. I added a few colors to my copics and may yet go back for a couple more before they are gone. I don't have any yellow or purple ones yet. I just got a couple reds today and an outliner....

Well, thanks for stopping by and as always I love knowing what you think!

Take care!

Thanks for your support!!

This is a quick post for a card I made. We had a fundraiser to help for hockey fees and I made a quick thanks to send to some of the friends of ours that helped out for the fundraiser. I was panicking a little for fees before the holidays so this was a big relief.

Anyways, it is just a quick card but got me a little back into the stamp groove. I really need to clean off my stamp table though so I can do some more in depth stamping going on! :)

Thanks for popping in and as always let me know what you think!

Blogging lapse........

Hi everyone! I am sorry I have not posted anything for a bit. I had a house come down sick and I have been so busy I can't think! I will have some new stuff this week though. I am planning to catch up on my stamping and stuff starting tonight. I deserve to, darn it!! :) This weekend was hockey games and yesterday was floor hockey at 8:30, reffing the game after, working a bingo from 12-4 and then home to pick up my purse and go for groceries. I finally got to see the kids about 6, while I was making supper..... sigh..... Sometimes I just get so tired!

Anyways, thought I would pop in an update post and will be back by tomorrow with something to post! Thanks for stopping by!

OK, I fianlly got done my second jewellry set for my Twilight swap, which I am late sending... :( I have been home and in bed most of the week and didn't even have enough energy to stamp. I feel a LOT better now though, thankfully and am going to head back to work tomorrow. I bet they forgot who I am!!

Well, as you can see I am really stuck on Jacob! Love him! Route for himalways, but I won't mind if he needs my shoulder to cry on ;)

2 post in 1 day again... I should just learn to be more consistant and post every couple days instead of overloading to make up for my slacking! Thanks for sropping by, though! And as always I love knowing what you think!

Birthday Babe

OK, today I am posting a card I made for my daddy for his Birthday. It isn't actually until the beginning of December but I had gotten some paper from my LSS and had to do something with it. I also am loving those lollipop flowers!! I have never found them before that I have noticed but the are so neat!! So this is my card. I used my set from Bombshell stamps. I adore these stamps! I only have a couple sets but just think they are so sexy! :) My dad loves his horses and isn't too old yet to appreciate the lady either! hehe.......

As always thanks for stopping by and let me know what you think!!

UBBRO7 Challenge

Hi everyone! It is my Birthday today! Woohoo! I am posting this little Halloween box I made for the Untiy Bro Challenge contest. The challenge was to make a Halloween box, bag, etc. and use the colors black, green, purple and orange. I had been going through the Bombshell stamps blog hop earlier this week and thought these little coffins were soooo cute! The template for the box is from Martha Stewart... I love Martha, too! :) Once I read the posted challenge, I knew right away I was making one of these for the challenge. I LOVE how it turned out! I think I will be making these boxes for my co-workers next year!! They are darling! So wish me luck and hopefully I get the honor of being chosen as a winnah for Unity this week!

As always, thanks for popping in and let me know what you think!!

Welcome to the Chichiboulie Blog Hop!!!

Welcome to the Chichiboulie Blog Hop sponsored by Stamping Bella! If you've just happened upon my blog, you can start at the beginning on Emily's blog. If you came here from Karolyn's blog, you are on the right track! A list of all participants in the Chichiboulie blog hop can be found here.

For my project I created a Christmas card using Pia Puddingtop. I think she is just adorable!! I also used a new technique I learned with my blogging sisters SS round a couple weeks ago. It was to make lollipop flowers. I have never made them before, but decided to try one before making some for my SS. I used coordinating paper and made 4 layers. They are all attached with a little brad. You can't tell too well, but the image and the flower are both sprayed with gold glimmer mist to add a bit of sparkle and shine to the card. I just love how this card turned out! I think it is done up just enough with the DPs and the lollipop flower just adds the finishing touch!! Don't you agree?

How about a prize? In addition to the fabulous eye candy, we have decided to hide a prize somewhere along the hop! One pre-selected blogger will draw a random winner from the comments on her post, and the winner will receive a $25 Gift Voucher to Stamping Bella!!! The fun part is...we're not telling you who it is! So as you hop, make sure you leave comments on every post so you have a chance to win!! We will announce the winner on Friday in the Splitcoast forum. MWAH!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Now it's time to hop on over to Sparkle's blog and enjoy the fun she has there!
Make sure you let me know what you think before you leave!

November Birthday Cards

These are the 3 designs of cards I am offering for my next card class. My class members seem to like creating so I love having the chance to pull out older sets and new things to try withthem. We did a ton of holiday cards already so I am going to help restock the birthday supplies!! :) I always seems to run out of these types of cards.

Anyways, thanks for stopping by and let me know what you think!!

Twilight Tuesday TTSC14

This is the card I made for the twilight Tuesday sketch challenge posted over at www.twilighttuesday.com. I just love Twilight and creating all things Twilight alos. I am very excited for the release of the new movie next month!!! I am going to go with my kids for my birthday... :) Anyways, I used chocolate striped GG, bravo burgandyCS, close to cocoa and choc chip CS and some small pearl like drops. I used my SU set 3 little words. I think I am happy with itbut I should have maybe done something on the creamy caramel just to tone it a bit more...

I am waiting for a B & N twilight stamp set I am getting from a generous lady on SCS, so I will be creating with that as soon as it gets here too!

Anyways, as always thanks for popping in and let me know what you think!

Monday, October 26, 2009

2 posts today! I sometimes think that isn't the best because then sometimes the first post doesn't get the love it might deserve... :) This card is for my blogging sisters challenge. It was to create a card using a non traditional fold. I did both the inside and the outside of the card. I am not used to decorating the inside, but it sure adds a lot to the card!

Anyways, I really love how this one turned out!!! I hope my secret sis loves it too... I am making her package with a holiday theme... I think that with the time of year it is OK to do.

Well, thanks for stopping in - again - and let me know what you think!

Pretty Purple Kini.........

This is the card I did for the stamping bella twisted challenge this week in the Stamping Bella Forums on Splitcoast Stampers. The challenge was to use a purple color and use paper piecing. I think she is super together and ready for teh beach for some fun!! Inside I just stamped Happy Birthday. I don't use her much and I am challenging myself to use more of my stamps I bought and never seem to pull out... :)

As always, thanks for popping by and let me know what you think!!

The Mummy, the Witch and the Pirate...

This is a bad picture but I need to get some batteries for my camera to get some better shots when I use thicker embellishments... I just love this stamp from Stamping Bella! The mummy, the witch and the pirate is just too cute!! I was at my LS today and got some DP 2 for 1 and the embellishments were 25% off... woohoo! I got a pkg of halloween flowers and also a package of 4 halloween ribbons. Too cute! I may have to make a couple cards to send my friends in Calgary!!! Love them!

Thanks for popping in and as always, I would love to know what you think!
