Farewell to our summer students!!

I finally got a chance to get to my stamp table but I was feeling pressed for time... I managed to put together a couple of good luck cards for the students who have been helping out at work all summer and are getting ready to head back to school. I wish I could have done them up better, but I think they will do. I hope they don't mind them!! I will be back at my table tomorrow and will be posting again! Gosh I have missed my blog, my stamping sisters, blogging sisters and splitcoast stampers!! I have a lot of catching up to do and will get at that tomorrow also. I am hoping for a slowish work day...lol!

Have a great night and thanks for stopping in!

Quick update

Hi everyone! Things are getting back on track finally! We ended up getting royally messed over by the car company and are now again without a vehicle and out money for plates for a car we didn't purchase on top of the sick time, etc we had to take off... Joke! I will never be making a purchase through Capital Pontiac again, and sadly it was where I purchased both my prior used vehicles! So much for loyalty initiatives!!

After the fiasco last week with everything we ended up having the flu make its run through the house, starting last Tuesday with my youngest and went through us all from there. I am finally feeling a LOT better and I will have something actually crafty to post for you tonight! I need to make a couple of good luck cards for our work summer students who go next week and also I need to make a wedding card for Saturday for our friends Darryl and Jamie who are getting married.. Wooo!

Anyhow, I will be back this evening! TTYL!

I feel so crappy

So I blogged about my unhappiness about the new car we were going to be getting. Well Monday turned into an AWFUL day... After all the figuring out of everything I think the car finally made it from the car lot to the driveway about 8:30 PM. My bf was the proud owner for all of about 10 minutes. Well, then our 4 yo son came in the house completely freaking out and hysterical. Turns out he was excited about Dad's new car and as he had at the car lot, went out to check it out and pretend to drive it. There was a flaw in the transmission gear clip and he pulled the car into reverse without a key and sitting in the passenger side and it rolled back out of the driveway and smashed into the neighbours tree across the street. Well, we took the car back right away and we have just had headaches since. My babe isn't sleeping well as is my BF, and consequently I can't sleep either much becasue everytime I try and lie in my own bed, my son is crying for cuddling. sigh...... Well I am just thankful that he was not physically injured and that nobody else was hurt either. Minutes before several kids had been playing in the yard.

So it looks like I am going to have to go to some counselling sessions with my little guy and his dad, and tomorrow we are back out car shopping as there is no way we could ever feel comfortable in that car. Luckily the dealership has agreed to working with us so we will see what kind of compromise we can reach to get into a vehicle we want and can afford... Needless I haven't been able to stamp at all this week except for last night I needed to make a card for my neighbour and getting to be good friend because her brother passed away-also Monday... I am sure glad that day is over!

I still also want to post the amazing package I received from my Sassy Stampers SS. She made me the best most thoughtful present and I just feel so blessed!! I will be making a point of taking that photo tonight and getting it up here...

Take care and thanks for letting me vent a bit!! Talk to you all soon!

I have not posted in forever!! Last week was back to work and then I took the kids to the cabin. Today is my EDO and I am hoping to stamp a little later. I decided to poast one of my older cards, but it was a rare one I did paper piecing on and I loved how it turned out! I used GinaK stamps, taffeta ribbon and some brads.

I am off to take my bf to pick up his new to him car... A buick Allure. He is excited but I am not too excited. He has a tendancy to only think about himself a LOT and with 7 people in the family a car with 5 seat belts is not practical at all - but he gets to save $ on gas! Lucky guy... I guess maybe I have my priorities focussed on family or maybe women in geneal have a better idea of priority. Sorry to vent - walking out the door and hopefully I can post something else this afternoon!

Thanks for stopping in and let me know what you think!

A card for my Baby Girl...

This is the card I made for Taylor's Birthday which is on Sunday. I had to get this stamp after I saw Cheryl's card on her blog. I told you I needed her Cheryl!!! :) I used my cuttlebug and some primas on it to finish her off. I colored her with my copics, and I was a little disappointed in her face. I used confetti white, so I think that was the reason it looks a bit smudged. Now that I look at it I think I am going to add a few light blue stickles to her fringe just to finish it off.

As always thanks for popping by and let me know what you think!

Scrap book challenges.... I am so behind in this!!

I love how this page turned out! The stamping bella challenge was to scrap a flower, garden or something similar. My DD Bailey showed me this pic she took that was on her photo blog and I thought it would be perfect!! I think I was right... I also needed to use a bella image and a title or sentiment. I used a sentiment and also a journalling bit about the picture.

As always thanks for stopping in and let me know what you think!

Happy Birthday Bob!!!

Well I don't usually do too much really basic cards but I am really loving this one! The image is from stamping bella and I used not quite navy and baja breeze cardstock. I colored him with my copics and added a little bit of stickles to the flower centers. I made it to send off to my uncle Bob for his birthday. Hope he had a great day!! We sure miss him!

As always thanks for popping by and let me know what you think!
