Happy Birthday Bella Sistahs!!

I made a variation of this card for the 3 girls on my Bella Birthday list! I sometimes get behind on sending cards to these girls but I am ahead of myself for May. The inside is a white piece with Birthday Wishes stamped in cocoa in the corner. I had not used a DP for the main card base and it was a bit of a challenge but it worked out OK in the end. Still scanning my cards at this point, but I really need to find my camera as my pics are a bit disappointing!

Bellarific Friday Challenge

I made this card for the bellarific Friday Challenge over at Stampingbella.com. Da Bella herself posts challenges every Friday and this week was a sketch challenge. I used an image I received through Wish RAK at splitcoast stampers. I had a ton of fun making this card, and I love the new DP I got from SU! that I used for the first time on it.

I made this card with a stamp from the tiddly inks line. I think she is so adorable!! I am pretty upset though because my daughter helped herself to my extra camera batteries without telling me and I had to scan my card. The scanner doesn't pick up my light pink copic marker for somer reason so it never looks quite completed. I did love this project end result though!! I used tafetta ribbon, white with a pink extra knot. The brads are actually light pink rhinestone brads and the pants, shirt and bow are all the light pink. It looks so much better IRL...

Well, as this posts I am in Edmonton celebrating my baby girl's 18th Birthday! I can't believe how fast time flies! As for my card, it is this week's sketch challenge over on splitcoast stampers. It is SC266. I colored my bella with copics and I added some taffeta ribbon.I really am not happy with the way my scanner scans my pictures but I wanted to get a post in place before I left for Edmonton. Design DIVAS first 2010 Challenge

This si the first challenge posted this year for our Design DIVAS blogger group. It was an easy one to get us back into doing the challenges. The idea was to use sewing or faux sewing on your card. I was very pleased with how this one turned out! I also did the try a new technique challenge on which was to use quilting on your card. I am very happy with how it turned out! I have not tried real stitching on cards yet so I did the faux stitching. The image is a bitty bloom from Stamping Bella. I think I could have sponged the edges to soften them but all in all I am happy with it. Thanks for popping in and as always I would love to know what you think!

Here is another simple card I made for the birthday book in progress. It is a pretty simple design and I pieced the pants on this ketto from stamping bella. You know, though, I really love the way this one looks! I think it is one of my favs lately as far as the simple cards go. I just love the bold colors and the splash of pink in her flower sets it off. I colored her with copics, although I am still getting the hang of them. I am pretty happy with how they turned out!

Keep on rockin' me baby.....

This is the card I made for the stamping bella twisted challenge. I used turquoise (Bermuda Bay) pink and melon, which I initially thought was close to coral - turns out it isn't! Especially the way it scanned! :) Anyways, I do love the way she turned out. I used ipodabella on it. I put liquid applique on her fluff of her top and added a couple sparkle brads and some fabric flowers. Think it turned out really cute!

Happy Birthday to my Sonshine!

I missed posting on his day (Dec 31) but this is the card I made him for his 7th birthday! It is pretty simple but I think he liked it pretty well. I was definitely happy with it! I used copics to color him, wrote in his age on the sign. The edge of the billboard is light blue stickles. I love the bright boy colors and he always gets excited to receive cards I made, too.

The image is from Stamping Bella and I used SU! card stock and white taffeta ribbon. I also used some DP I got from one of my SS's and finished off the center with a button.

For my card today I used one of my newer stamps, Noah the Computer Guy. I just love him and he reminds me of my 2 boys! They LOVE the computer and sometimes it is a fight to get on one here! :) I also used this weeks sketch challenge, SC257 for a starting point. I got the DP from my local scrapbook store. Sadly, today was her last day as apparently although I enjoy spending my paycheck there, not everyone else does! Lol... Just kidding. II am very sad that she closed her doors, though. I also used not quite navy, sahara sand,, chocolate chip and bashful blue. I used a couple of small brads on the points and wrapped some red hemp twine around the whole thing to finish it off. I hope you can get the jist of how he looks. My scanner doesn't seem to want to pick up the lightest colors, but definitely points out that I REALLY need to work on my copic use! Oh well, I still enjoy my creating! I hope you do too... Now on to the rest of the details...

This is a sweet card I made for the Stamping bella twisted challenge 11 (BTC11) in the Stamping Bella forum over on Splitcoaststampers.com. The challenge was to make a holiday card NOT using red or green. I think I managed it! I love this image and I used liquid applique on her ruffles. The snowballs and snowman were coated with glitter. This card looks so much better IRL. My scanner doesn't seem to want to perform the way I would like it to... :(

Merry Christmas kids...

I just LOVE this stamp! It is a new one from Stamping Bella and it went into my cart as soon as I saw it... I know this one is a super simple card but really I fell in love with the image and was proud of myself how the coloring turned out. I really didn't want to take a lot away from the image. I am still experimenting with my copics and trying to figure out how to use them properly. I know I certainly don't give them the credit they deserve, but I am trying! :)

Anyways, I wanted to get in a quick post tonight. I am not sure I will be able to post again until either Sunday or next week after Grey Cup, so I wanted to get one more in before then. As always, thanks so much for stopping by and let me know what you think!

I found some awesome paper today to go with my new Stamping Bella stamps! I was into the local Scrap store and fell in love with this paper. Carter has a birthday party Friday to go to so I was glad I had some inspiration and happy with how it turned out! You can't really see well but it does say Happy Birthday in Green inside the banner this little robot is holding. I am really happy with how this card turned out!

For my project I created a Christmas card using Pia Puddingtop. I think she is just adorable!! I also used a new technique I learned with my blogging sisters SS round a couple weeks ago. It was to make lollipop flowers. I have never made them before, but decided to try one before making some for my SS. I used coordinating paper and made 4 layers. They are all attached with a little brad. You can't tell too well, but the image and the flower are both sprayed with gold glimmer mist to add a bit of sparkle and shine to the card. I just love how this card turned out! I think it is done up just enough with the DPs and the lollipop flower just adds the finishing touch!! Don't you agree?

Pretty Purple Kini.........

This is the card I did for the stamping bella twisted challenge this week in the Stamping Bella Forums on Splitcoast Stampers. The challenge was to use a purple color and use paper piecing. I think she is super together and ready for teh beach for some fun!! Inside I just stamped Happy Birthday. I don't use her much and I am challenging myself to use more of my stamps I bought and never seem to pull out... :)

The Mummy, the Witch and the Pirate...

This is a bad picture but I need to get some batteries for my camera to get some better shots when I use thicker embellishments... I just love this stamp from Stamping Bella! The mummy, the witch and the pirate is just too cute!! I was at my LS today and got some DP 2 for 1 and the embellishments were 25% off... woohoo! I got a pkg of halloween flowers and also a package of 4 halloween ribbons. Too cute! I may have to make a couple cards to send my friends in Calgary!!! Love them!

Bella Back to School Bash!!!

These are the 2 cards I made for the stamping bella birthday bash on Splitcoast Stampers. The first challenge was to use a shape and stick to it throughout your card. As you can see, I chose ovals. The second challenge was to use whatever new items you had, so I a pad of new DP, a pkg of new brads that looked like screws and a fella image I got from the wish RAK forum. You still have until 8 PM to create a card and play over in the stamping bella forums!!

Scrap book challenges.... I am so behind in this!!

I love how this page turned out! The stamping bella challenge was to scrap a flower, garden or something similar. My DD Bailey showed me this pic she took that was on her photo blog and I thought it would be perfect!! I think I was right... I also needed to use a bella image and a title or sentiment. I used a sentiment and also a journalling bit about the picture.

Well I don't usually do too much really basic cards but I am really loving this one! The image is from stamping bella and I used not quite navy and baja breeze cardstock. I colored him with my copics and added a little bit of stickles to the flower centers. I made it to send off to my uncle Bob for his birthday. Hope he had a great day!! We sure miss him!

Friendship is sacred...

I made this card for my Bella Sis. She has been so awesome to me and I feel like I have been not so
good to her back. I am going to send this along with a bella stamp and some images I can stamp off for her... I also added a note for her to catch up. I hope she likes it and isn't too angry with me for getting a little behind...

Finishing up some SS challenges

I am finishing the last of my SS challenges for my Sassy Stampers blogging sisters group. This challenge was to create a card showcasing something you love to do. I LOVE to read! Most everything! I especially love when Coles or CHapters has their 4 for $10 clearances, because I stock up on a few books. Sadly the best ones I can get through in a day or two so I go through a lot of books... Oh well.

So this is my card to show off my love of reading. I wanted to put something on it a little different, so instead of a flower or something I created a mini book to use on the bottom corner, and I am really pleased with how it turned out! I also added a couple of sparkle gems onto the side just to add a little something extra. I am pretty happy with how it turned out!!
