World Alzheimer's Day...

I am posting a final item today. It is a card I made for World Alzheimer's Day in response to the instructions on Cammie's blog (which you NEED to check out if you have not had a chance to yet...). My daughter lost her grandma to Alzheimers last year and it was so difficult for them to see her digress. She never knew her family in the end at all. I am sending my card to Cammie's home mentioned as I don't know the home of Bailey's grandma...

Thanks for the push to do this Cammie. I think that it gets forgotten, not unlike those affected by the disease...

Blogger color challenge

OK, so I was blog creeping and I found a great color combo on Gina's blog. The color challenge was pacific point, pink pirouette and elegant eggplant. I liked a couple of the in colors this year right away, but I am loving pretty much all of them! This is the card I came up with. I am not too sure about the corners, but I was trying to switch up my usual style... :)

I am also so happy that SU! brought the mini library clips into the new catty! I just love them! They are just so fun to use! Anyways, check out Gina's challenge if you want to play along also! The colors are a little dark, but I wanted to get it posted while I had a chance...

UGH! I could scream!

Well, I had wanted to post a picture of the cards we made for my Christmas stamp a stack class, but alas, my DD has felt it needed to take my digital camera yet again to snap photos of herself and hasn't remembered where she put it! I could throttle her some days!!! Count to ten... count to ten! I am remaining hopeful she finds it before I close my post for the evening.

On a little better note, I did get a 10th member for my stamp club! Yea! So we are set to go for Sept 30. I am the first hostess and then the rest of the ladies will pick months for the remainder. I also had requests for more classes, which is great because I have gotten 3 more customers this month alone, so that is exciting!

Well, happily, my camera is found - I can breathe again... whew!! I am going to show my SAS cards.
I got 2 of the new sets from the catty and I am so pleased with them! The snowflake card was somewhat cased from a stamper on SCS in the gallery. I got a couple packages of the bulk HP also to use and was happy with the end results. The DP is one of the new holiday themed papers. So now I am going to put together a Halloween themed class with a few cards, coffin boxes from the templates here that I think will be a hit, and maybe some treat bag toppers also...

Finally, I recieved some gorgeous Basic Grey Dps from Robyn (Donegal1 on SCS) today, which inspired me to send out a few to others. I am shipping some holiday bella images and a long lost RAK for Little Johnny Depster, who I recieved from my secret sis last month and I love! These are going postal tomorrow! Have a great day and see you all later this week!

Bella party and some fun challenges!

Well, I missed the virtual Bella Bash on Wednesday, which I had every intention of joining in on. There were 2 challenges posted, one was a color challenge (BBFF02) and the other was a to case a card out of Laura's gallery. All of them are found in the bella forum on SCS. Well, I am supposed to be getting ready for my open house tomorrow, but instead I want to catch up on these challenges! I have not done a bella color challenge in soooo long, it was nice to get back into it! This one I made using everything SU! except for Bella and the sentiment. These are both from stamping bella (www.stampingbella.com) but I give you fair warning, these ladies are HIGHLY addictive! You will find yourself NEEDING more everytime there is a new release! :) It tends to be an expensive habit, this stamping thing...lol...I am sure you can all relate!

Well, I am enjoying my last days of summer... I am sad faced that the cool weather is on the way. Work tomorrow then off a couple days and catching up on things while I have a little time to myself! Thanks for stopping by and I will post my door prizes for my open house tomorrow. A couple lil planners I think you will love! Thanks again for visiting!

A Wednesday Sketch Challenge and an empty house

Well first things first -Here is a sketch challenge I made for todays SCS challenge SC194. I used Bella Rose DP, Choc chip card base, Red Riding Hood and Pink Pirouette CS and the stamp set Embrace Life. I have an open house and a SAS class this weekend and I should really get more prepared for them, but I have been having a rough week..

On top of feeling not too great the past couple of days, my baby of my 5 children started preschool today. I am just not sure how I feel about all of that! It makes me want another one I think! Sadly it is no longer an option... :) And in a second breath I am not so sure I want to go back to diapers and bottles!

Have a great day and try out the sketch challenge if you have some free time!

Good morning everyone!! I have been a little busy the past few days so I have some time today to play catch up! I am currently in a swap on SCS where I create a 2 page 4x4 layout, one side with a calandar month, the other one with a bella image. I love this and signed up for 2 months! The first month I chose was February, and this is what I came up with for it... I just love bellas!

I am also in the process of preparing for my stamp a stack class on Saturday and my open house on Friday evening! My stamp club is up and running as of this month, again for 10 months! Yea!! I am very excited about that for sure!

Have a great day and check back later when I post the winner on my blog candy from earlier this week and post some samples or the upcoming class!!! Enjoy your Sunday!

Stamping and Blogging...

Happy Monday!

I am just going to start getting into this blogging thing so I hope I am beginning on the right foot! I am hoping to use my blog to show cards and projects I have created and hope that I can inspire you to create your own cards and projects!

The first card I am going to post is my color challenge card from last Tuesday on SCS (www.splitcoaststampers.com). The challenge was to use monochramatic colors. I went with pink and used the new SU bella rose paper, pink pirouette cs & regal rose cs. I used the set watercolor minis which is retired now, but still one of my favorites! I used pink pirouette and regal rose ink and black stazon. I also used some prima flowers. I incorporated the faux stitching and was pretty pleased with the end results!
Thanks for stopping in and once I get a better hang of this I am hoping to offer some blog candy! Keep checking back!
