Happy New Year!!!

Well today has 2 special meanings for me... first of all it is the end of a year and the promise of a new year to come. I have a lot of ambitions for the new year and I hope they all come to fruition! Second is my son's 8th birthday! He is the 4th but my first boy. I am sharing a card I made him for his day with you. It is bright and cheery, just how he makes me feel... most of the time! :) So tonight we are going to celebrate my neices wedding and the kids are also welcome to come, so it will be a fun filled day I think. I am looking forward to it!

As for resolutions... I want to lose some weight, typical one, I know... and I also was to post at least 2 times each week to my blog. Happy New Year to everyone!!! Have a wonderful and safe celebration and I will see you all in the new year!!!

Bitty Bloom for a cold winter day.....

This is a card I made while I was playing around with paper scraps and some Wish RAK images. It has dropped to around -25 here again so it is a great day for stamping! I have to work today but plan to do some more stamping tonight! I am not sure if the button bouquet fits but I think it it turned out ok. Thanks so much for stopping by this morning and stay tuned for a post later this evening!
As always thanks so much for popping by and I would love any feedback you wish to offer!

Thanks for spoiling us!!!

This is my card I made for saying thanks to everyone for all the great gifts we were all blessed with this h0liday season. I am sending them out to my family to show them how grateful we are. I started sending out thank yous last year and I think it is a great idea. With the bustle of the holidays I think it shows people you have made an effort to thank them for their thoughfulness.

Hope everyone has a wonderful evening! Take care. Thanks for popping by and as always I would love your feedback!

Season's Greetings!

This is the second page I made in our scrap club. We make the 6x6 pages. I love how quick it is to make a pretty page! I used the simply scrappin Christmas set for it and just loved it! I am oping to post each day the rest of the week. I work 2 days but think I will be able to do it! It is a goal for myself...

Holiday Scrapping...

This is one of the layouts I did for our scrapping club for December. The whole page uses the simply scrappin kit from SU! The pic has a bad flash but you get the idea for the set up. I am enjoying experimenting with my scrappers club. I wasn't sure I would feel good about it, but it turned out I am having a ton of fun!

Thanks so much for coming by!!! Happy Holidays!

Happy Hoildays...

I have been trying to finish up my package for my secret sis to send. It is due to mail now and I am just putting on the finishing touches. There were 3 challenges and a gift from your sis's wish list. The first challenge was to make 3 gift tags. I am making my whole package into a similar theme. This is a photo of my completed tags...

Thanks for coming by and I would love to know what you think!

Think of Christmas...

Think of snow
Think of Santa
Ho Ho Ho....

I hope everyone is starting to enjoy the holiday season! It is my favorite time of year. I am starting to finish up my Christmas cards and had my last Christmas card class on Friday. I have a Christmas party next weekend and working on getting the teacher presents done and everything organized.

This card is one I did for my stamp club. The class loved trying something different and I am enjoying playing with this sweet snow globe stamp from SU!.I found some "snow" at the dollar giant and added a few drops of re inker to color it a bit.

So a quick post to keep up with my blog and off to create a few more things! Take care and thanks so much for popping in this busy season. As always, I would love if you have time to leave me some feedback...

Tis the season to be jolly!!

I just can't believe how fast Christmas is coming! I have been so busy with activities it seems to be here before I am even getting ready! I usually have a plan in place for shopping and am well underway, but this year not so good...

I had my stamp club on Friday and this is one of the cards I made with the group. I used the hostess set Peace on Earth. I love the sophisticated look it has. I also played around with the fabric which is the top part of the card - the polka dots. I used a hodgepodge ribbon slide with some black ribbon and the dove image. I was pretty happy with how this turned out and the group loved using the new texture on a project!!

Thanks for coming by and as always I would love to know what you think! Take care and see you soon!

Yea! I am back!

I have decided the best thing to do is juts hide my camera when I am not using it as then I will know where to find it when I need it! :) I have been working all month on some cards for my club and items for a craft sale I am in next weekend. So I am hoping to post a few of these as I go along this week...

First thing I want to share with you are these holiday ornaments I made. I got the poem from someone over at Splitcoast Stampers and I modified to image a bit to use. I love these and they really signify the true meaning of the holidays. I made several of these and tried to make them all a bit different. I think I may also make these for the kids teachers this year. I can't believe how fast time has been going and I can't believe it is over a month since I posted! Sorry for slacking!

As always I would love to know what you think! Take care and see you soon!

CC292Pirouette red pizazz

I have not played in a color challenge in such a long time! I missed them for sure... The challenge was to use pink pirouette, real red and pear pizazz. I am not yet in possession of pear pizazz so I used certainly celery instead. I added daisy bella and colored her with my copics.

Thanks so much for coming by and as always I would love your feedback! Take care!

Love the lace!

Here is the third card I prepared for the class on Friday. I love the idea of the lace and had to get some to try out. I am very pleased at how it turned out. I will be using it a lot more for sure! I have 1 more card to plan and then I am ready. I also need to work on the projects for my scrapbook club this month.

Thanks for coming by and as always I would love to know what you think!

Here is the second of the cards we are going to make for the class next week. I love this little guy! I believe I got the stamp from www.paperworksco.com one of my orders. The saying to match is just darling too. I colored the image with my my copics because I love their vibrancy, although I didn't do the shading and everything I usually try to do. I am not prepared to show the technique at my class-I am nowhere near that talented! :) Anyways, thanks again for coming by today! I am glad to be back stamping on a more regular basis!

As always, I would love to know what you think!

Tis the season to... make holiday cards!!

I am having a card class next Friday and we are making Christmas cards. My next 4 posts are going to be previews of the cards we are going to be making. I think I only have 4 coming to the class but that is fine. We always have fun regardless!

This card is made with all stampin up products. I think the silver cord is retired though. If you can see the shimmer on it all I used my new vanilla smoochthat SU! now carries. I am so excited!

Its the weekend!!!

I am starting to work through some of my images from wish RAK over at Splitcoast Stampers. I found this darling image from Stamping Bella from her huggabuggs line. I also used some of my DP scraps and added a flower from the pretties kit from Stampin Up!

We also got a new kitten so if I have any extra characters in my post I blame it on paws on the keyboard! :) Anyways, thanks for coming by today and as always I would love to know what you think. Today I am off to take my dog in for a shave down. I will post her once she is all cleaned up. The other one is going in a couple of weeks.

Anyways, as always I am glad you came by today and let me share some of our news along with a card. I would love to hear what you think...

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Happy Birthday Jules!

DD has a friend who comes here to catch the bus for school each day. She is having her 10th birthday party today and my DD is going for a sleepover. I made this card using one of the images I received from my cyber friend Cabio. She sent me a whole bunch of these cute Magnolias to play with and I just love them!

Thanks so much for coming by. I hope you are enjoying my posts!! As alway I would love to know what you think!

Holiday thoughts....

I finally figured out what I wanted to do to to finish the cards I had started last week. I had set them aside and actually forgot about them. I pulled them out today and added my flower on them. I am happy that I have a couple more Christmas cards finished and have almost finished making all I need this year.

Thanks for coming by and as always I would love to know what you think!

Feel better Cheryl!

This is a set I made for one of the teacher's at my kids' school. She was diagnosed with breast cancer this summer and is currently going through treatment for her illness. I really like her and hope that she feels better soon. The little box is filled with several 3x3 thank you cards. I thought she may appreciate having a few on hand for people who have given her support through this challenging time.

Thanks so much for stopping by and feel free to let me know what you think!

I got in a bit of holiday mode today!! I found some of my cute images from elzybells I forgot about. I played around with a couple designs. I finished one and the other I will post later this week as it is drying... I think that it is a bit simple, but I would still be just fine giving it this holiday season! I am playing around with it though so it may change a bit... Just another quick post. I have to squeeze it in when I can!

Take care and thanks so much for coming by!

September Card Club

Well I am so happy that I have stamp club starting again this month after a year off! I decided to start with a couple of easier projects. I am hoping to highlight a new technique each club after this one. I have 2 cards to show you...

I have a couple new people this year and then my regulars. Most have them have said they haven't stamped much in quite a while, so I thought we would start simple. I still think the cards look good though and my club members will be happy.

Thanks for popping in today! As always I would love to know what you think... See you soon!

Simple birthday - RAK

I created 3 of these fast and easy cards to add to my RAK card supply. I used up a few scalloped fluffles I got through Wish RAK quite a while back. I think they are alright. I like to keep them simple so that I don't have to add extra postage to them. I would be happy to get one for a card so that is kind how I judge them.

Thanks for coming by!!

Bye Bye boy...

Oh! I got this image today through Wish RAK from Pat and I juts love him! I had to color in the image right away and make up a card. He has the matching sentiment and I am just very happy with how he turned out. I have been lagging on posting and I am going to make an effort to get more regular posts up but I am so far not making a good start...

Thanks for dropping by, it is nice to see you again! :) Take care, let me know what you think and see you soon!

Thanks Nic!!

This is the latest card I made for our last summer student who is leaving us this week. She was with us last summer also and I certainly enjoyed working with her again this year!!

I was away on holidays last week and lapsed in the blogging posts. I missed the VSN this weekend on Splitcoast Stampers, but I am hoping to do a few of the challenges and post some of my creations through this week. I have to send out my Sept BRAKs also.

Anyways, thanks so much for stopping by and as always I would love to know what you think!!

I was happy to get to play this week's ways to use it challenge. The challenge for thursday was ways to use versamark. I used it over my chocolate chip tree and then embossed it with bronze ep. You can see a bit of the effect of 3D. I also added some little birds in the tree with some pop dots and added some taffeta ribbon... This is a lot different from cards I have usually done, but I am very happy with the end result. The main color is craft. I added a craft piece to the inside and used the corner punch on it also. I added a couple of birds in the buckaroo blue ink and then put Thinking of You in Purely Pomegranate.

Thanks so much for popping by today! I was excited to share this one with you! Take care!
