March Blog Hop 3/31/10 - Metallica-rt

Welcome to this stop on the March Bombshell Stamps blog hop! If you came here from Sy's blog you are on the right track! If not you can start at the beginning of the blog hop over on Kas's blog.

The them for March's Bloghop is METAL - Try using metals in your project : Make something on metal, metal accents, metal embellishments, or even "Metal" music...Your choice just tell us how it fits with the theme. I would love to see as many people participate as possible.

For my project I used metallic embossing powder for the sentiment, metallic cording for the accent and metal brads. I added some clothes to my bombshell. This is new to me! I have seen it done and didn't know how to go about it. I read the tutorial over at the Bombshell forum and decided to go for it. I am actually going to give this card to my friend for her wedding shower. I am hoping she is too busy with wedding plans to be blog hopping! :)

Thanks so much for stopping by!! Enjoy BoHoRose's project on your next stop! Happy hump day and I would love to know what you think!

Another Holiday Card.

Here is a card I made for my March CCC challenge. I made 5 of these which makes for half my quota for the month. My picture sucks, and I am sorry for that. I am going to try to get a better one but it is hard in the evening with bad light. I used big on Christmas which was a set my DD sent home with me when I went to visit her in February. I still want to play with these and try for some more different cards. I am happy with it though. It is appropriate herer too because we are expecting -20 with the wind again and flurries....... sigh.......

Thanks for coming by and let me know what you think!

How fast time gets away from me!

I can't believe I have not posted in over a week!! I guess I have just been so busy that time flew by and I got left behind...

I wanted to share with you today just a simple card I am sending out for my March BRAK assignments over at SCS. I didn't really use any embellishments on it but I am very happy with how it turned out. Pretty cute I think!

Anyways, thanks so much for stopping by - sorry I was AWOL! I will be posting again soon!

Design Divas March challenge...

This month my blogging sis Gina posted our challenge. She wanted us to do something with reading. I chose to make a card with a mini envelope. I made a matching bookmark to tuck inside the envelope for an added treat. Hope you like it!

Thanks for stopping by and I would love to hear what you think!

Cooking up something crafty!

Well, I am going to do something I never really do and that is post 2 things today. They are a couple of recipe pages I made for a twilight themed recipe swap I am in. I had taken 1 spot for the foil steak meal and then the last minute added the recipe for the blue cheese dressing. My steak card is supposed to be Charlie, Bella's dad, how I would picture him just chilling with his beer. The second I used my little flopsy pulling a carrot since it was a salad themed card. Teh recipe may be a bit small but on the program I edited it I was not at home and don't have a new version of word on my newer computers and I could only print what I had. I tested it on my little ones and they could both read it so I think it will be ok... I hope anyways!

Thanks so much for stopping in and tomorrow I am hoping to have my Design DIVAS blogging sisters challenge to post for you. Anyways, please let me know what you think!

VSN Olympics Day 5

Tickets Please!!

This challenge in VSN was to create a pocket card. It was to be something to safe keep your tickets in for your olympic events. I actually did no stamping except the saying. I was happy with it though! I pulled out some of my old old vibrant DP to use.

What do you think?

VSN Olympics Day 4

The idea behind this challenge was to use the colors in the official Hudson's Bay olympic sweater. I used my new Gorjuss girl for the first time and some DP from one of my SU! misc packs. I colored most of her with copics. The finish was the kraft taffeta ribbon. This one I really like also.

Thanks for coming by for the next event!

Day 3 of the post olympic events and showacing some of the cards I made. This was a sketch challenge which emulated the sketch of the inukshuk (sp??) mascot of the Olympics this year. I love how this one turned out for me!

Thanks for the quick pop in!

VSN Olympics Day 2

Welcome to the Olympics day 2! :) I made this card for the challenge to honor the olympic curling teams. It was to use the rolling marble technique. I am in love with how this card turned out! I osed some pink tafetta, dew drops, and liquid applique on the sheep. I also used my new SU! Sale a bration punch and a magnolia image I received through wish RAK on Splitcoast Stampers.

So where does this one stand for you???

Thanks for stopping in - tomorrow is day 3!
