This is a card I tackled for the try a new technique challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers this past Monday. The challenge was to ink a solid stamp in a lighter color. Then choose 2 different darker colors and using the edge of the ink pad judge lines across the image in a plaid design. I was not too sure about this challenge, but I think it turned out alright for my first try. It is also pretty simple but I didn't want an over done look and I experimented with some colors I don't usually use and sponging in 3 colors. I am planning to give it to my neighbour who starts her police training tomorrow. I just want her to know she is in my thoughts!

Thanks for coming by and as always I would love to know what you think!

Great job with the technique. I tried it out too but it didn't turn out too plaid-like but it was nice. Love your choice of hte purple and green together.

Really great job on the technique. I hope it was a fun one to do....I might just have to give it a try.
