With Sympathy
I kind of feel bad for this card. I made it a couple weeks ago as I felt that it seemed right. The bad part is that I hadn't thought I needed it. Sadly my Mom's elderly neighbour had a terrible accident this weekend and passed away. I ended up giving her the card to give to Magda's family, who she is also friends with. It is just so terrible that I am so sad about it. Magda had an accident in the bath and ended up scalded so badly. After that it is really unclear what transpired. I just truly hope she didn't suffer horribly. She was such a wonderful lady!
So anyways, thanks so much for coming by today. I am hoping I will be able to post a few things this weekend, but tomorrow is a loss as I have to work all day then go work a fundraiser bingo for hockey... Take care and happy crafting!

Oldies But Goodies DIVA blog hop!!!
Welcome to the Oldies But Goodies!!! If you came to me from Karen's blog you are on the right track! If not please start at Sue's Blog and see all the great creations!
My card is doing a bit of double duty for me this time. My set I used is one I have not used in ages and I probably got it a few years back. I really was surprised to see it still a current set in the Stampin Up! catalogue! So the rules for the hop were simply this:
"The idea for this hop is to create a card, scrapbook page or 3D item using any of your stamps/supplies that are at least 6 months old. Any and all company’s products are allowed…….No restrictions. Please do your best work and be proud of what you create."
I am pretty happy with my project! I am actually also using it for one of the projects at our stamp club gathering n Friday. So if any club members come by, you get a sneak peek at one of the projects! :)
Now you get to continue along on the fun to Ching's Blog to see what she is sharing! The entire blog list with links is below...

I made a couple of these cards with the scraps I had from my last scrapbook club. This one is 6x3 and I really like how it turned out. I used the flower from the three little words SU! set and some lace edging. The colors I believe are cherry cobbler, old olive, baja breeze. I used my scallop edge punch and popped up the scalloped circle with dimensionals.
Thanks so much for coming by and I love to read your feedback! Take care and see you soon!

I had seem a while ago on a challenge to make a card that has a gift that seperates from the card. It could be a bookmark, pin, etc. So I made this card and added a washer necklace I also made. There isn't much embellishment after the necklace is off , but I think it turned out good. Even though it is a bit bare, the best part has already been displayed! :)
Thanks so much for coming by today and as always I would love to know what you think!

This is a card I played with using the Black Magic technique challenge from the splitcoast stampers weekly newsletter. New to me I am not thrilled with the results because I don't think I have a very good stamp selection for the technique. I do think it could be a stunning one though with practice. I added a matching butterfly charm to highlight the butterfly stamps and some ribbon. The thinking of you stamp makes it pretty generic to give for many occasions. Thanks for coming by today!! I have a bunch of running around tomorrow with the kids and hockey and also play floor hockey at 8 AM. I am going to play some more tonight at my stamp table though. I need to! :)
Take care and thanks so much for stopping by!!

I went to a purple party!!!
And it was pretty fun! My friend Supna's birthday was this weekend and she had a purple themed party. Among the favors were purple jelly beans, purple gum balls, and purple licorice... some purple jello shooters... :) Well I had to make her a purple card!!!
The image is from Stamping Bella. I had the DP in my box of papers. I added a few primas and some gems and stickles for her goggles. I just love her! Anyways, thanks for coming by. I would love feedback if you stop in. Take care and come back soon!
Sorry, no project right now...
The second thing I am going to resolve to do is post comments on my blogger groups blogs more regularly. I have so many posts with no comments and sometimes it gets frustrating. I think "Oh gosh, is that project really that bad???" I get excited to read the feedback people take the time to leave so I want to pay forward that excitement to another blogger.
Well, that is my piece for the day. I do have some items to post and will get one up when I get home from work. I didn't get a chance to go on the comuter much yesterday to post. Thanks for coming by!

Another year... another Birthday... :)
I worked on my brother's Birthday book again this year. In case you don't remember I made him a book with pocket pages and months with labelled birthdays on it. This is the second time I am refilling it for him. This card is one I made for my nephew who will be 13 this year. My goodness how time flies!!
Anyways, I just used some fairly neutral colors. Added some sponged edges and then the image, which was from a SU! stamp set my daughter had gotten. The inside says simply Happy Birthday. I am pretty happy with the way it turned out, but I hope it is teen boy enough... It was quite a struggle for me to come up with something appropriate. I really have limited older teen male stamp sets.
Thanks for stopping in today! I have a couple more projects to share with you later this week. As always I would love any feedback you can offer!
Take care!

Rock and Rolled sympathy
Well, I found some papers as I was cleaning up my stamp area today and was inspired to create a card with osmething other than the usual kinds of images I use. I really like how it turned out! I was routing through my sentiments and this one felt like it would make a nice sympathy card. Luckily I am not making it out of need.
I was very happy with how it turned out. I used an image I hadn't for a long time and added the rock and roll technique to it. I rolled the edges on soft suede. You can't tell but I also sprayed the whole thing with my gold glimmer mist. It looks quite pretty IRL.
Thanks for popping in. I hope your New Year is on the right track. If you want to leave feedback I would love to know what you think!

Happy 2011!!!!!!!
Happiest New Year to all of you! I am feeling happier and more confident that this year will be a milestone year for me! I will turn 40 later on, which sucks..... but I am hoping that I can go on a hot vacation to celebrate! :) It isn't until November but I want to keep it as a focus for sure.
I sat down today and stamped. I am going to try to do it more regularly, since even the few minutes I can do it really helps me de-stress. This card I made with brights on my mind. The colors bring me a feeling of happiness and I think the image is adorable! She is from www.stampingbella.com. I have a few of the images in this line and they are fun to work with! I added some stickles to the flower center. It is a not very good attempt at a sunflower, but it turned out alright.
Thanks so much for taking the time to drop in today! Enjoy being with your loved ones and I will see you soon! As well, I would love any feedback you would be willing to share. Take care!
