I have a new favorite thing! Stamping Bella challenges had a buttony bow technique a few weeks back and you were to make a holiday card with it. I know it is the new year, but I still had a couple I wanted to share and am going to be doing the Christmas Card challenge through the year so you will see a few more holiday posts not even close to Christmas! :) This is Pia Puddingtop from Stamping Bella. I just love my Bellas! They are some of my favorite stamps! So since I tried the buttony bow technique I have used it on a lot of the cards I have made since... lol!

Well, thanks for coming by and I would love to know what you think!

Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year everyone! I am behind on my posts so my New Years Resolution is to post at least 2 times per week! I have figured out how to schedule, so I should be able to do it! This is one of my last holiday cards I made. I love this little girl from Stamping Bella! I also love the colors and was happy with how she turned out. I used glitter on the snowman and snowballs. I used my favorite ribbon, taffeta and some paper I got from Creative Memories I believe. The saying comes from a set I got from a secret sister last year! Thanks so much for popping by!

As always, I would love to know what you think, and everyone have a safe and happy celebration tonight!

Holiday gifts...

I have been busy making things for Christmas gifts and trying to get organized for the holidays. Luckily for me our blogger challenge was to make something for a holiday gift. I made several of these washer necklaces, which was the technique challenge a couple of weeks back as well, and they are being donated to the kids' school for their Christmas store. It is new or gently used items you donate for the kids to go holiday shopping for their families. All of the money raised from the sale goes to support our local neonatal annual radio fundraiser to improve our local neonatal mother baby ward. These ones were done with Ranger inks and UTEE, but I also created some holiday ones with patterned paper and dew drops. I have them all packaged to go and they don't photograph well inside their bags... I am sure I will be making more however, and will make sure I take a picture to share with you! Today 9 are being shipped to the school.

Thanks for popping in and as always I love knowing what you think!

This is one of the cutest gift card holders I have made so far!! I just love how it turned out... It is the try a new technique challenge this week over on Splitcoast Stampers. There is also a video tutorial that can be found on creator Carolina's blog. I actually found it pretty easy to make and the directions are very easy to follow.

Thanks for stopping in and let me know what you think!

Happy Birthday Blake

This was another stamp I got from Dee, I think I forgot to actually say who you were in my last post! Sorry Dee! So I found this little boy Magnolia in the images also so decided to do a similar card for DS's friend as well. I was pretty happy with how both cards turned out and am excited to share them both with you! Scroll down to see yesterdays if you missed it. I know they aren't overly done but I really seem to go for quick and simple. I need this becasue of the limited time I get to stamp since we have activities and the 4 kids at home keep me running. If I don't keep most things simple I would never be able to complete anything! :) Well this guy is also stickled on his wings. I added a couple brads to keep it boyish and the blues and browns make it look perfect for a boy's birthday!

Thanks for coming by today and I would love to know what you think!

Happy Birthday Brooks!

Two of the kids had birthday parties this weekend so Saturday morning I made a couple of Birthday cards for them to give with their gifts. I got a bunch of images from a new stamp friend I have through my friend Mel and splitcoaststampers. Mel knew her from where she used to live and I have been ordering Close To My Heart items through her... Anyways, last month for my birthday she included several images she stamped for me and Mel and among them was this darling Magnolia image. I don't have any of these stamps so I was excited to have some images to play with I decided to use one for this birthday card I made for DDs friend. I colored her with copics and added some stickles to her wings. I added some primas and some white taffeta and just love how cute she turned out!

Christmas creations for the kids.......

These are some mini sets I made for the kids to give their classes this year. I had seen on Splitcoaststampers where someone had made snowflakes with their big shot and added some things for the kids to decorate. I loved them but didn't have the die. I was out shopping and found these kits of foam trees with all the trimmings. They are stickers, but I punched holes in the trees and added some pipe cleaner for hanging and made some simple toppers on them. I was happy with them and the kids are excited to give them to their classes. In total we will have about 65 to hand out and I bought 2 sets so they were under $14 for all of them. I worked my way through my scraps for the toppers so they are sme non conventional colors (like the pink) but they are great!
