Teacher gifts and that time of year...

I can't believe how fast the time goes!! DS and I went on his year end field trip for school today. We had a ball at the gymastics place!! So then I got to thinking... Oh oh... his last day is Wednesday and he has a teacher and 3 helpers and I have nada for year end presents ready!!!

Well, this afternoon I took to making up a few of these sets for the 3 female teachers. The pack includes a set of 4 monogrammed cards, a paperclip bookmark, a set of 4 magnets and a notebook. I put everything in an 8x8 page protector and tied it up with some white ribbon.

I think the teachers will like them, at least I am hoping so!! I know if I was getting I would love it!

I then got a hold of my sister and asked if she had any candles on hand. So I am going to give some more nature smelling candles to the men teachers. I still have to make 2 sets for the other teachers but they are not done until the 24th, so I have some extra time.

I have such a terrible time giving handmade things though sometimes. I know they turn out really nice most of the time and I put a lot into them, but I don't want people thinking I am cheaping out or something. I guess really I am not obligated to give anything at all and it is just a bonus for them. Also on the other hand if I were buying something like this at a craft sale I would be paying good money for it... I guess it is just in how you look at things and I need to be more proud of giving my creations away instead of worrying...

As always, thanks for popping by and let me know what you think! :)

What a great idea, using the page protector for your packaging! As a former preschool teacher/childcare center director, I would have loved gifts like this. Time is precious for everyone--getting a gift that someone used their time on is priceless.

How thoughtful of you... teachers are always so underappreciated in my opinion. This is grand of you to do.
