Vintage, baby!!

Well, i am back to my usual more simple cards. I used another image I got off of this site. It has so many wonderful vintage images you can print off and use. I thought this baby was so cute and I have a friend who is due in a couple weeks. I am hoping this is generic enough in case they have a boy. I colored it with my copics and added these tiny buttons to finish it off. I also used my favorite ribbon - tafetta! I just love it!

So I think this turned out pretty cute. I am happy to send it off once my friend has her new little one.

Thanks for coming by and I would love to know what you think!

I got an awesome surprise in the mail yesterday from my virtual friend Cabio!! It was 3 pages full of different Magnolia images! I was so excited I already colored 3 of them and can't wait to finish them up into cards! I did manage to make one up to start. I tried to switch up my usual style by some off layering and trimming out my image. I wanted it to look like she was sitting on the edge of the one layered section. I put in a birthday saying, forgetting I had the perfect saying that I had got from an SS in the fall. Oh well, I have another image of her so I will likely use it for another card.

Thanks so much for stopping in! I had fun making this card and would love to know what you think!

Vintage DIVA Challenge for April

This is the card I made for my DIVA blogging sisters April challenge. It was to use images pre WW2 vintage style. I found this image on a link Vicki provided: http://digitaltuesday.blogspot.com/

I really struggled with this one and I am not sure why it gave me such a challenge! Vicki also challenged us to layer the image, so I popped up the girls hats. I stamped a friendship saying on the inside. I think it turned out OK, but I still think I want to try tackling this again.

Thanks for stopping by and as always I would love to know what you think!

This week I am going to post some of the Easter cards I have been working on. I again have lost track of time and suddenly it is over a week since I have posted! A lady at work wants to buy 5 of them and I need several so I have been working on a bunch and I will let her choose the ones she would like. This one is using Wagon Full of Fun. I used a knife to cut the slats out on the wagon and have it carrying a little egg.

Thanks for stopping by! As always I would love to know what you think!

March Blog Hop 3/31/10 - Metallica-rt

Welcome to this stop on the March Bombshell Stamps blog hop! If you came here from Sy's blog you are on the right track! If not you can start at the beginning of the blog hop over on Kas's blog.

The them for March's Bloghop is METAL - Try using metals in your project : Make something on metal, metal accents, metal embellishments, or even "Metal" music...Your choice just tell us how it fits with the theme. I would love to see as many people participate as possible.

For my project I used metallic embossing powder for the sentiment, metallic cording for the accent and metal brads. I added some clothes to my bombshell. This is new to me! I have seen it done and didn't know how to go about it. I read the tutorial over at the Bombshell forum and decided to go for it. I am actually going to give this card to my friend for her wedding shower. I am hoping she is too busy with wedding plans to be blog hopping! :)

Thanks so much for stopping by!! Enjoy BoHoRose's project on your next stop! Happy hump day and I would love to know what you think!

Another Holiday Card.

Here is a card I made for my March CCC challenge. I made 5 of these which makes for half my quota for the month. My picture sucks, and I am sorry for that. I am going to try to get a better one but it is hard in the evening with bad light. I used big on Christmas which was a set my DD sent home with me when I went to visit her in February. I still want to play with these and try for some more different cards. I am happy with it though. It is appropriate herer too because we are expecting -20 with the wind again and flurries....... sigh.......

Thanks for coming by and let me know what you think!
